Irakli Karkashadze, Director of the Union of Georgian Airports, held a meeting with AIR SERBIA officials in Morocco, as part of the aviation forum CONNECT 2023, in order to start operations at the Tbilisi International Airport.
"Serbia is one of our interesting destinations. We see that the number of Serbian tourists in Georgia is gradually increasing. In 2022, it recovered by 82% compared to 2019 and increased by 87% compared to 2021. As for the passenger flow from Serbia, in 2022 it increased by 13% compared to 2019 and compared to 2021 we have a 107% increase. It is important for us to have a direct air connection between our capitals for the development of economic and cultural relations between the two countries, as well as for more tourist flows, for which we do not reduce our efforts,” - Irakli Karkashadze said.
On the second day of the aviation forum in Tangier, the Director of the Union of the Georgian Airports held meetings with PEGASUS AIRLINES, TURKISH AIRLINES, SAUDIA and other strategic partners.
