The Municipal Development Fund has launched a design competition for the renewal of the coastal area in Ganmukhuri and Anaklia, Zugdidi Municipality. The 66.5-hectare project aims to transform the zone into a modern, multifunctional, all-season destination.

Plans include playgrounds, sports fields, cultural and educational spaces, bike and pedestrian paths, a decorative lake, an open-air stage, and a pedestrian bridge linking the two villages. Commercial areas, public facilities, and green spaces using local flora will also be developed.

The project prioritizes environmental sustainability with waste separation, renewable energy, and biodiversity protection, aiming to create a safe, inclusive, and eco-friendly space for locals and tourists alike.
