“With the support of the Asian Development Bank (ABD), a working meeting was held with the participation of representatives of various state agencies and business sectors. The said event was dedicated to the issues of institutional capacity development for various types of electronic/paperless documentation developed by the UN Commission on International Trade Law (for the purpose of implementing the Model Law at the national level),” - the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia reports.
The event was opened and the participants were welcomed by Vladimer Khundadze, Deputy Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance. According to him, in recent years, the extreme need to move trade and any trade-related activities into the digital space has become more and more clear.
The Deputy Head thanked the representatives of the Asian Development Bank, the International Chamber of Commerce and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, as well as all the people involved in the project for their active cooperation.
The head of the revenue service also highlighted the project implemented this year with the support of the ADB, which aims to make customs formalities even faster and easier using artificial intelligence.
