
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Irakli Nadareishvili participated in the presentation of the Do IT in Georgia project, which was organized by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency in Tbilisi Technopark.
Representatives of IT companies and training providers working in Georgia attended the event. The conversation at the presentation took place on the digital platform - www.doit.gov.ge, which will unite all educational and training directions initiated by the Ministry. The platform was created with the support of the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program.
"The IT direction is one of the important priorities of the Georgian government's support for the startup innovation ecosystem," said the Deputy Minister in his welcoming speech.
"Within the framework of this project, more than 80 international technology companies entered Georgia and employed more than 10,000 people. In this context, it is very important to provide qualified personnel for this industry, which is successfully implemented through various programs of our Ministry and the Innovation and Technology.
