At the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development raised the issue [approved by the Council] of revising the regulations developed for the safe operation of ropeways in the mountain resorts of Georgia.
According to the Deputy Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili, Georgia is actively preparing for the winter season in the mountain resorts and for this purpose, it will strictly follow the coronavirus-related regulations.
The Ministry of Health, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, and the Department of Labor Inspection were actively involved in drafting the new regulations. According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, the mentioned regulations will provide the coronavirus-free environment in the mountain resorts of Georgia, “giving us the opportunity to successfully host domestic and international visitors.”
