
The demand for bicycles in Georgia has decreased. According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), in the first half of 2022, bicycles (non-motorized) worth of $1,153,480 were imported into the country, which is 24.56% less than the number recorded in the same period of 2021.
China is Georgia’s largest importer of bicycles, accounting for 68.12% of the total imports. Germany is ranks 2nd with almost a 7.9%-share, and the USA ranks 3rd - with a 5.85%-share.
The list of Georgia’s trading partners in terms of bicycle import also includes Switzerland ($63.06 thousand), Belgium ($40.03 thousand), Bangladesh ($34.68), Bulgaria ($19.99 thousand), Portugal ($8.41 thousand), Azerbaijan ($7.55 thousand), Turkey ($7.18 thousand), Armenia ($6.73 thousand), Russia ($4.56 thousand) and others.
