Georgian Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze visited the Black Sea Arena today to inspect concert venues and infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming Empire of the Sun performance. According to the Ministry of Culture, Georgia is fully ready to host the Australian music project as part of the government-supported Starring Georgia initiative.
The concert will take place on August 27 at the Front Stage, located in the yard of the Black Sea Arena.
Minister Rukhadze emphasized that the Starring Georgia project aims to boost the country’s tourism potential and elevate Georgia's international profile. She noted that such events also give Georgian youth the chance to enjoy live performances by global artists without leaving the country.
During the visit, the Minister was joined by Amiran Janelidze, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Starring Georgia LLC, and Tamar Chkhaidze, Director of the organization.
In addition to the concert site, Rukhadze toured several nearby attractions, including the Musicians’ Park, the Social Space, the Georgia in Miniatures park, and the recently renovated Tsitsinatela Park. She also reviewed construction progress on Starring Georgia’s latest cultural project, Hecate’s Garden.
