“The Prime Minister’s decision to create a Government Efficiency Department is one of the most important decisions of recent times,” stated Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream party.

Mdinaradze explained that the new department will be tasked with overseeing the effectiveness of decisions made by ministries, legal entities of public law (LEPLs), non-profit legal entities (N(N)LEs), and various branches of the executive government.

“Despite numerous reforms in this area over the past year, we believe that even stricter control should be imposed on the spending of taxpayers’ funds and budget allocations,” Mdinaradze emphasized.
