
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the representatives of the Wizz Air company, who are paying a visit to Georgia. Further growth of the airline's activities in the Georgian market and plans for the next year - these were the main issues discussed at the working meeting. As Mariam Kvrivishvili pointed out, the cooperation with the company will continue still successfully, including in terms of adding new destinations.
"We have a very successful and strategic cooperation with the Wizz Air company; with joint efforts over the last two years, the company has been able to operate from the Kutaisi airport to more than 20 European destinations. At today's meeting, of course, we talked about further deepening of our relationship, which will contribute to the development of the tourism and aviation sector in our country, including in terms of adding the new destinations. We are sure that with joint efforts we will implement very interesting projects in the future", - the Deputy Minister said.
The Head of the United Airports of Georgia Tamar Archuadze took part in the meeting. According to her, at the meeting held in the Ministry, the parties discussed the prospects of growth of the airline's activity in the Georgian aviation market and future plans for the winter and summer seasons of 2023.
Vladyslav Ilyin, the Head of the airport development department of the Wizz Air company, focused on the prospects of long-term positioning in Georgia and the expansion of the company's operations in the coming years.
