Cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia to be intensified

The Finance Minister of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, met with the World Bank's Human Development Director for Europe and Central Asia, Fadia Saadah, the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molineus, and other representatives of the Bank.
The parties reviewed the current and future projects in the country with the support of the World Bank. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia in the field of human capital development.
As mentioned, the World Bank, together with the Government of Georgia, is preparing a human capital reform program that will promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the country.
The meeting focused on the social and educational reforms carried out and the challenges that remain in these areas. The sides expressed hope that from the next year the cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia in the field of human capital development will be intensified.
