"Georgia is a transit country and the transport corridor connecting Europe and Asia passes through it. Thus, it is important that the companies registered in Georgia, operating in the land transport sector, be able to establish themselves in the EU market. We are actively negotiating with the EU countries to increase the shipping quota for Georgian companies. We have shared the state's approach to the private sector working in the field and introduced the planned events and agreed on the positions. We talked about the challenges in the field and security issues," - Levan Gamkrelidze said.
It was noted at the meeting that the Land Transport Agency had undergone a staff reorganization and the staff was added to improve services, separating those responsible for obtaining, manufacturing and issuing permits.
