
In the 7th month of 2022, the import of coffee to Georgia increased, while this year the coffee prices in the country have already increased by 27%. If we take the global ongoing processes into account - the reduced harvest in the producing country, most likely, the Georgian coffee imports will become more expensive. For reference, coffee production in Brazil is decreasing.
As for the general indicators, Georgia bought 4,422 tons of coffee in 7 months of 2022, for which it paid $15,510 million. Accordingly, it turns out that on average one ton cost $3,507. In January-July 2021, the average price was $2,760 per ton, in particular, 3,375 tons of coffee worth of $9,317 million were imported last year.

Indonesia - 2,388 tons ($5,903 million)
Vietnam - 595.1 tons ($1 448 million)
Russia - 349.4 tons ($1,724 million)
Germany - 227.6 tons ($1.532 million)
Italy - 148.9 tons ($1.653 million)
Armenia - 137.5 tons ($471.7 thousand)
Switzerland - 118.4 tons ($411.3 thousand)
Greece - 100.2 tons ($263.6 thousand)
Greece - 76.6 tons ($272.2 thousand)
Turkey - 69 tons (503 thousand dollars)
As for Brazil, one of the largest producing countries in the world, Georgia did not buy coffee there this year. And in 2021, 38.4 tons of coffee came from Brazil (worth of $93.7 thousand), and this is only 0.6% of the total coffee imports.
