Coal import to Georgia increases by 50%

The National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) has published the data on coal production and export and import for 6 months of 2023. According to the agency, the amount of coal to Georgia was 76,900 tons. Imports amounted to 172,000 tons. The export rate is 0 tons.
In the corresponding period of last year, the import rate was 114,400 tons, which means that this year the rate has increased by 50%.
Inventory figures for past months were as follows: January 18.8, February 15.1, March 18.5, April -4.4, May 14.2, June -2.5.
