A group of tourism industry representatives, digital media influencers, bloggers, and members of tourism associations from the People’s Republic of China are visiting Tbilisi, as part of a promotional initiative organized by the Tbilisi City Hall’s City Department of Economic Development.
The guests are being hosted by Vakhtang Lomjaria, Head of the Economic Development Department, who emphasized the importance of showcasing the capital’s unique culture, cuisine, and tourist offerings.
“With the capital’s economy growing year after year and the number of visitors steadily rising, it is crucial that Tbilisi and Georgia are positioned as safe, culturally rich, and attractive destinations for international tourists,” said Lomjaria.
During their stay, the visitors will explore a wide range of tourism experiences, including cultural tourism, family and spa recreation, architectural landmarks, and shopping opportunities. They will also enjoy traditional Georgian cuisine—an important highlight aimed at reinforcing Tbilisi’s appeal as a leading destination for gastronomic tourism in the region.
The guests, who collectively reach millions of followers across various digital platforms, are expected to share their experiences online. Their content will significantly boost Tbilisi’s visibility internationally, supporting the growth of the tourism sector and helping attract high-spending travelers from Asia and beyond.
