Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili reacted strongly to the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, calling it a horrifying act tied to Kirk’s conservative views and outspoken criticism of liberal ideologies and LGBT propaganda.
“Charlie Kirk is another victim of liberal fascism,” Kavelashvili wrote on social media. He also condemned what he described as the “cynical reactions” from followers of “pseudo-liberal ideology,” adding that those who incite violence and suppress opposing views are complicit in Kirk’s death.
Kirk, a prominent conservative and close ally of Donald Trump, was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. As the founder of Turning Point USA, Kirk was a leading figure in the conservative youth movement.
