“The changes are to be included in the free trade agreement with the European Union. The mentioned changes provide an increase in access to the countries of the European Free Trade Association,” - Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia said.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, economic operators have an increasing choice to find the sources, the materials of which will be used during the production of products. "According to the statistics between Georgia and the FTA (free trade agreement) countries, in 2022, compared to 2021, the trade turnover of the FTA increased by 34% and amounted to $237 million. Exports increased by 23% and amounted to $100 million," Arveladze said.
