Category A taxi license to be activated in Georgia before April 1

The third stage of the taxi reform will go into effect on April 1, the Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze, announced today at a Tbilisi Municipality government meeting, adding that the updated www.taxi.tbilisi.gov.ge website, where taxi licenses may be purchased and leased, will become operational on April 1.
According to the Tbilisi Mayor, the municipality issued over 35,000 licenses. Kakha Kaladze further stated that the Category A taxi would be permitted to stop and pick up passengers from bus lanes across Tbilisi.
