In January-July 2024, the shipment of container cargoes of the Trans-Caspian International Transport (TITM, Middle Corridor) increased almost 14 times compared to the same period last year.
According to the Azerbaijani media based on Kazakhstan Railway, in January-July 2024, TMTM was transported by 2.5 million tonnes of cargo, which is significantly higher than last year.
According to the Kazakh Ministry of Transport, 4.2 million tonnes of cargo will be transported through the middle corridor this year.
In 2023, 2.7 million tons of cargo, while in 2021 - 1.48 million tons - were transported via the so -called Middle Corridor.
The Transcaspian International Transport Route - the so called Middle Corridor - passes through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and later Turkey and European countries.
