Cargo turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan is increasing

The cargo turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to $539.9 million in 5 months of 2022, which is 32.4% more ($407.6 million) compared to the same period of 2021.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), the products worth of $315.8 million were imported to Georgia from Azerbaijan, which is 48.8% more ($212.1 million) compared to the same period last year.
The products worth of $224.1 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in 5 months of 2022, compared to 2021 ($195.4 million), the increase is 14.6%.
