Business Association of Georgia becomes affiliated member of UN World Tourism Organization

On December 3, 2021, the General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization discussed the issue of the Georgian Business Association’s membership in the Organization and unanimously supported granting affiliate membership status to the Business Association.

The UN World Tourism Organization has more than 500 affiliated members. The platform facilitates direct dialogue on thematic issues, sharing information and experiences, promoting active communication among the members, and implementing joint projects. It is noteworthy that this also promotes the public and private partnerships, which means close cooperation and communication among the affiliated members and member states.

The Georgian Business Association states that the membership of the Association in such organizations is important both for its strengthening and development, as well as supporting the interests of the member companies.

To be reminded, the meetings between the Georgian Business Association and the UN World Tourism Organization were held during the Association representatives’ official visit to Spain.
