According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in February 2024, the price of buckwheat decreased the most, by 42% year-on-year. 

In 2023, Georgia bought $5 million worth of buckwheat, which is a decrease of 25% in annual terms. Russia's share in the total import of buckwheat is 99.6%. Last year, the decrease in imports from Russia is related to the 21% decrease.

Buckwheat is imported in relatively small quantities from the following countries: Austria, Poland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania.
