With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the organization of the agency's contractor company Swirl Wine Group, a group of 13 wine professionals visited Georgia in order to increase the awareness and export of the Georgian wine in the UK market.

The members of a group of the British importers and journalists visited the Georgian wine producing companies in Kartli and Kakheti, where they tasted different species of the Georgian wine. At the special tasting Walk-around Tasting held in Tbilisi, the British guests got to know the wines of 10 different companies.

Great Britain is one of the largest importers and consumers of wine in Europe, which since 2014 has been identified as one of the potentially growing strategic markets for Georgian wine exports. In order to establish itself in the UK market, the National Wine Agency has been cooperating with the wine master Sarah Abbott's company Swirl Wine Group LTD since 2015. In January-September 2024, 245 thousand liters of wine were exported to Britain; The export amount increased by 12%, compared to the same period of 2023.
