
British Airways has begun regular flights on the London-Tbilisi-London route, marking the launch with a presentation for Georgian tourism companies.
The event featured discussions between Maia Omiadze, head of Georgia’s National Tourism Administration, and Emil Delibashev, British Airways’ Regional Commercial Manager, on future tourism cooperation aimed at boosting British visitor numbers to Georgia.
Omiadze emphasized the strategic importance of the UK market for Georgian tourism, highlighting ongoing marketing campaigns. Delibashev noted the success of the inaugural flight and the strong interest in the Georgian route, previously served by British Mediterranean Airways.
British Airways will operate four direct flights per week, with strong support from Georgian tourism professionals, including nearly 40 IATA-member companies.
