The Spanish company Cerámicas El Torrente has moved its brick factory to Georgia, in particular, to Kaspi municipality, which has already started production.
As one of the founders of the Georgian branch of the company, Vasil Babluani, told BM.GE, the investment cost of the factory is about 12 million GEL.
"The ceramic brick and block factory operating in Spain was dismantled and we moved it to Georgia together with its management. Research on the Georgian clay material has never been conducted like this. We have already started selling the highest quality European products on the market and we can offer the highest quality European quality construction materials to the Georgian construction companies," - Babluani said.
According to him, export markets are not being considered yet, because the Georgian market is to be exploited.
To be informed, the Spanish company Cerámicas El Torrente decided to move the plant from Spain to Georgia in 2018, but delayed the commissioning of the plant, including a pandemic.
