"The popular Georgian mineral water "Borjomi" was recognized Russian one in Estonia and was removed from the store shelves,” - the portal Delfi writes based on the local trade networks.
Tina Shepel, head of marketing and public relations at the Maxima Eesti shopping center, said that the production of the popular Georgian mineral water in Estonia belonged to the Russian company Alfa Group, which, she said, had been subject to the EU sanctions over the events in Ukraine.
A similar step has been taken by other Estonian retail chains.
IDS Borjomi Georgia is part of IDS Borjomi International, which belongs to the Russian consortium Alpha Group.
