
The body of the Georgian fighter Jambulat Khoperia, also known as Jaba Khoperia, who died in Ukraine, was brought to his homeland at dawn. He was met by the family members, friends and relatives at the Tbilisi International Airport, after which the body was transferred to Guria last night.
A 25-year-old man was allegedly poisoned by a chemical substance and died of severe intoxication in the hospital. Jambulat Khoperia is from the Gvimbalauri village of Lanchkhuti municipality.
Before repatriating, his comrades said goodbye to him in Kyiv, where a civil funeral was held in the St. Volodymyr Cathedral. The Georgian fighter died on December 1.
According to the latest data, 33 Georgian soldiers lost their lives to the Russian aggression in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
