With the USAID support, Blue Valley is the first Georgian company that obtained a GRASP certificate, which helps producers to establish a good social management system on the farm. The system addresses aspects of workers’ health, safety and welfare.

By expanding the company’s certifications to include GRASP, USAID is helping Georgian workers while also enabling Blue Valley to put its products on the shelves of high-end supermarkets. In doing so, the company is developing new trading relationships with high-value buyers in the Gulf region and European Union.

Blue Valley is one example of our support to the Georgian agriculture sector in developing and reaching export markets, including in the European Union.
