According to the National Environmental Agency, recent laboratory studies show that Black Sea water quality along the Georgian coast is within normal limits. The agency monitors water monthly at 12 locations, testing for heavy metals, hydrocarbons, and other key indicators. Samples are analyzed in a modern, accredited lab, and results are published on the agency’s website. Monitoring efforts follow EU marine standards and are continually being improved.
