The black box of the Turkish military cargo aircraft that crashed in Georgia has been recovered and sent to Türkiye, according to CNN TÜRK.

The flight data recorded by the device was handed over to the Turkish delegation and military officials in Georgia, who have now transported it back to Türkiye for analysis.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had previously announced that the aircraft’s black box had been located.

The plane crashed near the Georgian-Azerbaijani border in the Sighnaghi municipality while en route from Azerbaijan to Türkiye.
