“In South Ossetia, the situation is calm prior to the second round of the so-called presidential elections,” - said the President of the self-proclaimed republic, Anatoly Bibilov. However, he said, there are people using the social networks who are trying to create some tension.
As "Эхо Кавказа" reported, Bibilov also explained that two ideologies were introduced to the second round of the presidential elections.
"The first ideology is to join the Russian Federation referring to the legitimacy, and the second one is related to the illegality and implies not to be part of the Russian Federation," - Bibilov said.
In the first round of the so-called presidential elections, the leader of the opposition party Nykhas, Alan Gagloev, received 10,707 votes (38.55%), while the so-called incumbent president, Anatoly Bibilov, gained 9,706 votes (34.95%). The second round of the so-called elections will be held on April 28 in South Ossetia.
