
In the first half of 2023, the volume of oil transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline amounted to 15 million 25.4 thousand tons, which is 6.5% more than the figure of 6 months of 2022, - the report of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan said.
In January-June, 76.5% of the total volume of raw materials transported by all main oil pipelines of Azerbaijan was transported through the BTC pipeline.
The publication writes that in January-June 2023, 83.7% or 12 million 570.2 thousand tons (increased by 7% - IF) of the total oil transported through the BTC pipeline from Azerbaijan.
In January-June 2023, the share of transit oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan transported through the BTC pipeline amounted to 16.3% of the total pumped volume, i.e. 2 million 455.2 thousand tons (increased by 4% - IF).
In 2022, the volume of oil pumped through the BTC pipeline amounted to 29 million 749.6 thousand tons (increased by 12.6%), including 5 million 103.9 thousand tons of transit oil (increased by 41.8%).
