
“Russian airline Azimuth starts flights from Moscow (Vnukovo) to Batumi from October 9, and from Sochi to Tbilisi - from October 11,” - the official website of the Russian airline reported.
According to Azimuth, the flights will be operated according to the following schedule:
Sochi-Tbilisi-Sochi route - on Wednesday – departure from Sochi at 09:55; Departure from Tbilisi at 13:00. on Saturday – departure from Sochi at 14:30; Departure from Tbilisi at 17:35.
Moscow-Batumi-Moscow route – on Monday and Thursday - departure from Moscow at 13:45; Departure from Batumi at 19:25.
Currently, Azimuth flies to the Moscow-Tbilisi-Moscow route. The aviation authority of Georgia has not yet announced the issuance of a flight permit to the airline on new routes.
Apart from Azimuth, Georgian Airways (Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi route) and Red Wings (Moscow-Kutaisi-Moscow and Sochi-Tbilisi-Sochi routes) operate flights between the cities of Russia and Georgia.
On September 22, the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia denied the reports about the flights of Rossiya Airlines to Georgia that was included in the EU blacklist.
