Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov praised the strong and growing relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia, emphasizing the ongoing high-level political dialogue and strategic partnership between the two countries.
“We are pleased that last year’s parliamentary elections in Georgia concluded successfully, and that active dialogue continues between our ministries and parliaments,” Bayramov stated during his official visit to Tbilisi.
He described the cooperation as a continuation of the countries’ centuries-old neighborly ties, now reinforced through mutual support for sovereignty and territorial integrity at both bilateral and international levels.
Bayramov expressed appreciation for Georgia’s hospitality and highlighted the increasing frequency of bilateral visits, including his own trip to Georgia last June and Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili’s visit to Baku in January.
“Our leaders maintain sincere and productive relations, and the recent visits by the Georgian Prime Minister and President to Azerbaijan further reflect the strength of our friendship and mutual respect,” he added.
Bayramov also noted the importance of direct and expanded meetings held during the visit, which covered a wide range of issues, including regional cooperation, international legal standards, and ongoing collaboration between parliaments.
