Azerbaijan introduced a duty on the import of hazelnuts, almonds, and other goods. The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has made changes to the rates of import and export customs duties, including a 15% duty on certain products.
According to the data of the National Statistics Service of Georgia, in 11 months of 2023, Georgia exported a total of 16,751 tons (79,263 million USD) of nuts and walnuts, of which the most were sent to Italy (3,708 tons - 14,556 million USD), Germany (1,960 tons - 10,497 million USD) and Turkey (1,871 tons - 7,215 million USD).
Azerbaijan ranks 13th in the list, where 452.4 tons (587.6 thousand USD) of products were exported. Accordingly, last year, in 11 months, 2.7% of the nuts and walnuts were exported to Azerbaijan from Georgia.
