According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in the third quarter of 2022, the average salary of hired employees in Georgia amounted to GEL 1,595, which is 16.5% more than the amount recorded in the same period of the previous year.
It is also clear that the increase in wages was registered in all sectors.
According to the types of activity, relatively high wages were observed in the following fields:
Information and communication – GEL 3 330.4 (compared to the corresponding period of the previous year increased by 51.8%);
Financial and insurance activities - GEL 2,474.7 (increased by 10.7%); Construction - GEL 2,304.9 (increased by 15.1%);
Professional, scientific and technical activities - GEL 2,229.1 (increased by 11.3%).
