In January-February 2023, 664 tons of chicken eggs (for non-incubating) worth $457.48 thousand were imported to Georgia. This is evidenced by the data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT).
As for the importing countries, in the first two months of this year, eggs were imported to Georgia entirely from Turkey.
In terms of quantity, in the reporting period of 2023, 9,781,920 units of eggs were imported to Georgia. Accordingly, it turns out that the cost of one egg is 4.6 cents, which is about 11-12 tetris.
