“The 25th Business Forum was opened within the framework of the Israel Week. The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Georgian Parliament, David Songhulashvili, addressed the participants of the forum,” - the press service of the Parliament reported.
Reportedly, Davit Songhulashvili focused on active trade and economic relations and solid foundations for the implementation of important investment projects in Georgia.
"It can also be said that today, the indicators of bilateral trade and economic relations between our countries cannot reflect the great potential that exists between the two countries. I would like to utilize this potential as much as possible in the future," - David Songhulashvili said.
According to David Songhulashvili, the Georgian legislation is already close to most of the legal acts of the European Union stipulated by the Agreement on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) and has a unique position in the region in terms of having a free trade regime. Therefore, there are great resources for Georgia to become a transit hub on the global communication map.
The forum was attended by the representatives of the Israeli business sector, a delegation of businesswomen, the members of the Supreme Council of Adjara, the deputies of the Parliament of Georgia, the Israeli Ambassador and the representative of the Israeli House in Georgia, and other officials.
