
“Georgia hosted 359,238 international travelers in May this year, posting an increase of (+) 228.5% compared to May 2021 and the recovery rate of international travelers is 49.7% compared to 2019,” - the Georgian National Tourism Administration publishes statistics for May.
The number of international tourist visits to Georgia in May amounted to 264,327, which is (+) 173.9% more compared to the same period last year, and tourist visits were restored by 62.3% compared to the data of April 2019.
In January-May 2022, Georgia hosted 1,180,034 international travelers reporting an increase of (+) 257.8% compared to the data of 5 months of 2021, and marking a recovery rate of 39.5% compared to the same period of 2019.
In the 5 months of 2022, the number of international tourist visits amounted to 906,670, which is (+) 213.8% more compared to the same period last year, while compared to the data of May 2019, the figure of tourist visits was restored by 54.8%.
