
As the National Statistics Office reported, in January-November 2022, the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $17 018.2 million, 32.2 percent higher to the same period of 2021.
The exports hit $5 037.1 million (31.8 percent higher), while the imports reached $11 981.1 million (32.4 percent higher). The negative trade balance was $6 944.1 million and its share in external trade turnover constituted 40.8 percent, the agency went on.
The share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 78.9 percent. The top partners were China ($660.7 million), Russia ($597.9 million) and Azerbaijan ($595.5 million).
The share of the top ten trading partners by imports in the total imports of Georgia hit 67.3 percent. The top partners were Türkiye ($2 143.2 million), Russia ($1 607.8 million) and China ($1 017.7 million).
The share of the top ten trading partners in the total external trade turnover of Georgia amounted to 68.9 percent. The top trading partners were Türkiye ($2 552.9 million), Russia ($2 205.8 million) and China ($1 678.4 million).
