As of January-May, Georgia bought 2,047 tons of strawberries in Turkey

In January-May, Georgia bought 2,047 tons of strawberries worth $ 612 thousand, which is 1,136 tons more than the volume reported in the same period last year. In 5 months of 2021, the country imported 911 tons of strawberries worth $ 289.5 thousand.
Almost the entire volume of the product was imported from Turkey. Georgia received only 0.42 tons from Egypt.
It should be noted that only 47.9 tons of strawberries were re-exported from Georgia.
To be informed, the data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia on the volume of strawberries purchased by Georgia have been available on the External Trade Portal of the National Statistics Office since 2009.
