From August 1, 2021 through February 20, 2022, 19.8 thousand tons of hazelnuts were exported from Georgia, the value of which amounted to 91.4 million US dollars. According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported hazelnuts increased by 3.9 thousand tons (25%), while the value increased by 6.1 million USD (7%).

"The Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to the EU markets - Italy (8,245 tons), Germany (3,763 tons), Spain (638 tons), the Czech Republic (504 tons), Poland (379 tons), Lithuania (403 tons), France (378 Tons), Bulgaria (144 tons), Greece (71 tons), Latvia (70 tons), Estonia (98 tons), Belgium (41 tons), Hungary (22 tons), Croatia (20 tons).

The Georgian hazelnuts are exported to: Armenia (1,380 tons), China (785 tons), Russia (443 tons), Ukraine (361 tons), Algeria (241 tons), Saudi Arabia (326 tons), Belarus (283 tons), Iraq ( 168 tons), Switzerland (173 tons), Mexico (120 tons), Canada (120 tons), Argentina (119 tons), Azerbaijan (82 tons), the United Arab Emirates (75 tons), Kazakhstan (45 tons), Turkey ( 92 tonnes), Uzbekistan (66 tonnes), Tunisia (27 tonnes), United Kingdom (22 tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (44 tonnes), Jordan (30 tonnes),” - the statement said.
