
According to the data of the nine months of 2022, the airports of Georgia served a total of 3,299,808 passengers, which is 92% more than the number of passengers transported in the same period of 2021. As the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency reported, in relation to the number of passengers transported in the first nine months of 2019 before the pandemic, the passenger flow recovery rate is 80%.
Based on the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency’s data, in 9 months of 2022, a total of 16,141 flights were carried out at the Georgian airports [Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi International Airports]. Of these, the number of regular flights was 12,226, while the number of charter flights - 3,915. Compared to the number of flights carried out in the first 9 months of 2021, flights have increased by 52%, and compared to the same period in 2019, the recovery rate is 84%.
