Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan reaffirmed his country’s dedication to deepening bilateral relations with Georgia during a face-to-face meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
“We are doing everything we can to support the strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations, and you can be assured that there will be no change in the attitudes and approaches of the Armenian side,” Khachaturyan said.
According to the President, Armenia and Georgia share a mutual aspiration for regional peace and stability.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Georgian government, Khachaturyan noted, “I arrived yesterday, and I have the impression that I have been here all along. This is due to the attention shown to us and the environment created for our visit. I am sure it is also thanks to the personal relations between the Prime Ministers of our countries, a reliable partnership that strengthens our ties.”
He emphasized that high-level engagements between the two nations create new opportunities for cooperation. “Our common goal is peace and stability in the region and internal political stability. I am confident that our populations in both Georgia and Armenia will appreciate the efforts of our governments, which are aimed at preserving the sovereignty and independence of our countries,” Khachaturyan stated.
