In January-May 2023, Georgia purchased 2,004 tons of grapes worth 2.5 million US dollars, and in the same period last year, 1,576 tons worth 1.7 million US dollars.
A list of the five countries where Georgia buys fresh or dried grapes is as follows:
Armenia - 1,179 tons worth 1.1 million US dollars
Uzbekistan - 392.9 tons worth 617.7 thousand US dollars
Iran - 247.2 tons worth 409.9 thousand US dollars
The Netherlands - 64.7 tons worth 214.6 thousand US dollars
Turkey - 118.2 tons worth 122.1 thousand US dollars
To be informed, according to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), last month grapes in Georgia became cheaper by 26%.
