In January-May 2022, 1,576 tons of grapes worth of 1.7 million dollars were imported into Georgia, which is 267 tons more than the volume reported in the same period last year. In 5 months of 2021, Georgia purchased 1,309 tons of products worth of 1.4 million dollars.
The list of the countries, where Georgia bought grapes in 2022, is as follows:
Armenia - $ 674.5 thousand (832.5 tons);
Uzbekistan - $ 727.9 thousand (487.6 tons);
Iran - $ 181.9 thousand (118.1 tons);
The Netherlands - $ 112.4 thousand (37.4 tons);
Turkey - $ 92.3 thousand (97.9 tons);
Spain - $ 5.4 thousand (2 tons).
Georgia also bought grapes in small quantities (less than a ton) from: Poland, Lithuania, Israel and Germany.
