
Armenia became Georgia’s 2nd partner in terms of buying cars.
Georgia maintains its position as a regional vehicle re-export point ("hub"). Compared to 2021, car imports here increased by 73%, and re-exports almost doubled (by 98%).
Sales in Azerbaijan amounted to $308.4 million, in Armenia - $144.7 million, in Ukraine - $119.8 million, in Kazakhstan - $104.4 million and in Russia - $75.6 million.
The USA has become the main import destination, from where a large number of used cars are sold through online auctions. The value of purchases amounted to $833.2 million. Other major producing countries - Japan ($282.7 million), Germany ($179.8 million) and Korea ($20.8 million) were also included in the top five import destinations. Turkey ranked 4th ($105.3 million), home to assembly plants for Western brands as well as a large second-hand market.
