The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili responded to the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in the social network Twitter.
According to the head of the government, at the meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, they discussed initiatives aimed at regional peace and opportunities to expand economic and trade relations.
PM Irakli Gharibashvili stated that Georgia-Armenia enjoy centuries-old good neighborly relations and brotherhood, claiming that today’s meeting will be another step toward the economic progress of our countries, the introduction of innovations, and advancement. And all this can only be achieved in the conditions of peace and regional stability.
The PM noted that in January-November 2022, “our trade turnover grew by about 70% to exceed $ 1 billion, which is indeed a commendable outcome, and Armenia became Georgia’s 6th largest trade partner, taking 6th spot among the top 10, which we find quite gratifying.”
