"The negotiations with the Korean side have already been held on such key issues of the agreement on economic cooperation as trade in goods and services; telecommunications and digital commerce; technical barriers to trade; customs issues and economic cooperation. The Republic of Korea is an important trade and economic partner of Georgia in the Asian region. This country is a potential export market for products made in Georgia, such as wine, mineral waters, food products. In addition, we expect more active cooperation in other sectors of economic cooperation, including tourism, civil aviation, transport and logistics, information technology, etc. The agreement will create favorable conditions for cooperation for Georgia and the Republic of Korea," - Genadi Arveladze said.
The bilateral meeting will end on April 17, and the second round of the negotiations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea will be held in May of this year. It should be noted that in February 2024, the first round of negotiations was held in Georgia, the results of which were quite impressive, in particular, an almost complete agreement was reached on several important topics.
