The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili took part in the opening of the new hotel Holiday Inn Express Tbilisi Avlabari in Tbilisi.
The hotel was built with Kazakh investment, the amount of direct investment is 12.5 million US dollars, the project was implemented by the real estate development company Symmetry. The hotel has 122 standard category rooms, which will be suitable for both leisure and business guests. The so-called hotel is built on the bed & breakfast concept and is oriented to the middle income segment.
As the Deputy Economy Minister noted, the investor very correctly assessed the specific niche that the capital really lacked and decided to enter with a brand with international standards. Mariam Kvrivishvili also emphasized the creation of new jobs - up to 50 people will be employed in the hotel.
"I am sure that this will be a very successful project, and another motivation for the investor. We hope that in the future the investor will discuss similar projects not only in Tbilisi, but also in other regions that are interesting for us and active in tourism. I am confident that with joint efforts we will be able to attract even more Kazakh tourists to Georgia, and not only them - with diversification policy and more direct flights", - Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
