In one year, the gross external debt of Georgia decreased by $ 315,693 million, and compared to the previous month, it increased by $ 106,187 million.
According to the data published by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as of October 2022, the gross external debt of Georgia exceeded $ 7.681 billion, at of today's exchange rate, it exceeded GEL 21.323 billion. As of October 2021, the amount of debt was $ 7.997 billion or GEL 25.273 billion at the then exchange rate. As for the data of September 2022, the gross external debt amounted to $ 7.575 billion, or GEL 21.478 billion at the then exchange rate.
As of October 2022, the largest creditors of the government of Georgia are: the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
In particular, the debt to the EIB is $ 806,986 million; the gross external debt to the IBRD exceeds $ 1.240 billion, and to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) - $ 1.815 billion.
